JOB SUMMARY

AGLC is recruiting for a key member of a professional team that provides support to the strategic leadership and direction to AGLC’s Records and Information Governance function. The Records Management Technical Analyst will be responsible for a comprehensive range of activities and services associated with the effective and efficient delivery of the organization’s Records & Information Governance Program. Reporting to the Supervisor, Records Management, the Technical Analyst has a key role recommending strategies and approaches to further enhance the coordinated and optimized delivery of the Records Governance function with AGLC.

 This position assists with planning and managing the development and delivery of Records & Information Governance solutions to support AGLC business activities through:

  • The analysis, evaluation, and implementation phases for a broad variety of initiatives.
  • Providing consultation and coaching support to AGLC staff in relation to technologies, tools, and processes
  • Leading the activities of various teams that support the continued development, implementation, and enhancement of Records solutions.
  • Providing project and change management support to the implementation of an ERMS.
  • Creating new and updating existing records classification and retention schedules for AGLC to remain compliant.
  • Coordinate the quality assurance and compliance reviews and periodic audits of the RIM program.


As the successful candidate, you require strong organizational and time management skills in order to set priorities and adhere to established time frames. In depth knowledge of Information Technology and how it relates to Records Management along with careful attention to detail and strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to communicate and interact effectively with various co-workers, clients, and the public.



Requirements

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • A High School Diploma and a minimum of 3 years of related experience is required.
  • Experience with and knowledge of Information Technology and how it relates to Records Management is required.            -This includes troubleshooting with vendor and IT regarding records software applications and the integration of records management with IT systems.
  • Diploma in Records and Information will be considered an asset.
  • FOIP training and experience with SharePoint and RM software is an asset.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is required.
